How is payment for my gold jewellery determined?
Payment is based on the current market gold price according to international markets (which fluctuates daily) and the purity of the gold in your items. Your gold jewellery will be professionally evaluated in our modern gold testing facilities to establish the weight and karat of the gold. Higher weight and karat signifies a higher the value of gold jewellery. Prices are based on the spot gold price for that day, to ensure you receive the most accurate valuation.
We apply exactly the same standards to scrap and broken gold, and platinum or sterling silver. After the appraisal, we will send you a complete settlement breakdown, piece by piece, along with the payment.
How do I get paid?
You will be paid by check. This will be made ready within 2 days of your gold jewellery being appraised. Please allow sufficient time for the mail service to deliver this to you.
Is the Gold Pack that I receive totally free?
Yes! It is totally free and will have everything you will require to dispatch your items to our processing unit.
How do I use the Gold Pack return kit?
Simply place your unwanted gold in the pack, complete your payment details and mail it back to us in the pre-paid, pre-insured Gold Return Pack.
Is my Gold Return Pack safe and secure?
Absolutely. It is 100% safe to dispatch your gold jewellery back to us, using the insured Gold Return Pack we have provided for you. If you are shipping valuables over $500, we suggest you contact one of our customer service representatives for further instructions.
How will I know when you receive my Gold Pack?
You can track the status of your Gold Pack at all times by using our Track Your Gold Pack feature on our website. This provides instant access to our online database. Simply locate your customer number on the pre-paid return package you receive with your Gold Pack. Enter your tracking number in the 'Track your Gold Pack' text field and click 'submit'. You will need to allow 1-3 business days from the day you mail your return pack to its arrival at King Cash gold.
When will I receive my check?
Your Gold Pack will have to reach King Cash Gold. Once it is received, most packs are processed the same day. Your check will be issued within 2 days of your order being appraised. Please allow enough time for the check to arrive in the mail.
How long does the process take?
The entire process should not take longer than 5-7 days from the day you request the Gold Pack from King Cash Gold. The breakup is as follows: 2-3 days for you to receive the Gold Pack; 1-2 days for you to return it and 1-3 days for us to appraise your items, process your check and send the check out to you.
What should I do if the Gold Pack is too small to hold all my items?
Simply call us on our toll-free number and we will make special arrangements for you to easily send all the items you wish to sell.
What is your policy if I am dissatisfied with the money I receive?
With our NO RISK GUARANTEE, if, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with the payment we send you, simply call our toll-free number within 48 hours of receipt or at the latest 12 days from the date printed on the check and we send you clear instructions for return. Your gold items will then be returned promptly in line with our no risk guarantee.
What should I do if I am not sure something is made of gold?
Our King Cash Gold experts will test for precious metal content when we receive your gold jewellery. They will first try and identify the stamp on the items representing the karat. They have 3 testing methods: electronic testing, the acid-scratch test and x-ray scanning to test the purity of the gold or the actual karat value of your items.
There is a simple test you can perform at home by running a fridge magnet over your jewellery. Precious metals are non-magnetic and will therefore not stick to a magnet. Therefore, if any of your items stick to a magnet, you will know they do not contain precious metals.
Will you accept gold jewellery that contains "gemstones"?
Although we will accept gold jewellery that contains precious gems, please note that recycling these items is not our business. Therefore, these would not be included in your payout. If you wish to sell an item that has a gemstone in it, and you consider that gemstone to be valuable to you, then we suggest that you remove the gemstone before you send that item to us.
What types of gold items do you accept?
King Cash Gold accepts any items containing silver, gold, palladium platinum and other precious metals. These can be charms, necklaces, bracelets, pins, earrings, rings, cufflinks or other jewellery. We also accept coins, collectibles and other decorative pieces as well as silver flatware. We even accept gold dental work! If it has precious metals, King Cash Gold can refine it.
